Surrounded by family at Huronview Home, Clinton on Friday, December 22, 2017 James “Seamus” Doherty of Clinton in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” Doherty (April 27, 2017). Loving father of Una & Jeff Roy of Clinton, Liam & Wendy Doherty of Surrey B.C., Davitt O’Doherty & Nancy Wojcik of St. Mary’s. Cherished grandfather of Caitlin Armstrong, Ryan Armstrong (Shaun Brooker), Brianne, Dylan, and Austin Doherty, Declan and Cainan O’Doherty. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Ansberth Bradley, Paddy Barr, Una Doherty, Agnes Doherty, John (Joy) Doherty, Sally (Geoff) Meakin, Dominik (Mandy) Doherty, Ena Doherty, Nuala (Malcolm) Smith, Michael (Marie) Doherty, and Briedge (Don) Lutes. Also missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his infant children Elizabeth, Michael and Joseph, parents Dominic & Mary Doherty and siblings Mary Barr, Manus Doherty and in-laws Eugene Bradley and John Doherty. Visitation will be at the Falconer Funeral Homes, Clinton Chapel, 153 High St. Clinton on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Goderich on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Celebration will follow at the Columbus Hall, Goderich. Spring Interment, Clinton Cemetery. Donations to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society of Huron would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
