Sandra Elizabeth Davidson – 2017

Sandra Elizabeth Davidson (nee Schafer)
of Kitchener passed away peacefully at the Lisaard House on Monday, March 6, 2017 after an acute battle with Cancer.
Born in Kitchener to loving parents Claude and Violet, Sandy graduated from Victoria School of Nursing in 1967 and contributed significantly to the many nursing organizations here in the area. Mom spent nearly a lifetime of summers at the cottage with her family. An avid gardener, she turned most things to green; and has often commented that outside with flowers in bloom is where she found her true self. For the last four years she’s focused on what she does best “excelling at Nana.”
Sandy spent her last 18 years with cherished partner Ken (Dietrich). Loving mother to Ryan and his wife Jamie. Erin and her partner Dean. Adored Nana of Arthur, Winn and Dixon. Sandy will be fondly remembered by her close brother David and sister in law Joyce as well as the many international family in both the UK and in Taiwan.
Sandra’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:30 – 1:15 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A service celebrating Sandra’s life will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 in the chapel of the funeral home.
A very special thanks to the Lisaard house for maintaining a reputation of excellence, the many Drs, nurses and the many close friends and family for your strength and support. We can’t be thankful enough.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grand River Hospitla Foundation – Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
