Sadie Glenn Walfield – 1925-2017

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her
family, at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, February 14,
2017 of Sadie Glenn Walfield of Andrews of Parkhill, Summerside,
formerly of Ellerslie, aged 91 years, wife of the late Layton F.
Walfield. Born on July 10, 1925 in Woodstock, daughter of the late Ira
and Nina (Shaw) Wright.
Loving Mother to Juanita (Fred) DesRoches, Ellerslie; Billy
(Mae), Ellerslie; Linda (Wade) Pike, Summerside; Wade (Cheryl
Hutchinson), Summerside; dear mother in law to Ruth, Poplar Grove,
Judy, Tyne Valley and Linda, Summerside.
Beloved Nanny to
22 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren to and 4 great great
grandchild.
Sadie is also survived by sister
Bessie (Wilfred) Campbell, Tyne Valley; brothers Wilfred Wright,
Summerside; George Wright, Collingwood, ON, sisters in law Florence,
Joan and Joyce Wright.
Sadie was predeceased by her parents, husband Layton (1997),
sons Ronnie (2005), Donnie (2008), Wayne (2008), Myles (2009),
grandson Jason, great granddaughter Chantel, brothers Ray, John,
Norman, Ivey, Bloyce and sisters Ruby Ford and Alice
Trowsdale
Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel, with visiting
hours on Saturday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held on
Sunday at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Interment in the spring in Freeland
United Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers in memory of Sadie, memorials to
Bideford-Conway United Church would be appreciated.
