It is with great sadness the family announce the sudden passing of Lawrence Gering on December 25, 2017 from a stroke, at the age of 90.
Lawrence is survived by his children, Diana (Klaus) Glimm, Lorne (Melodie) Gering; grandchildren, Pat (Lori) Glimm, Nicole (Tracy Godfrey) Glimm, Crystal (Sean) Niznik, Larry (Courtney) Gering, Becky (Josh) Poteet; great grandchildren, Matthew Glimm, Jacob Glimm, Rachel Glimm, Koltin Glimm, Kelsi Glimm; step grandchildren, Adam Wesenberg, Amanda (Tyler) Deilkatney, Hazel, Sage, Ivy, Holly Niznik, Raiden, Adelaide Poteet; great great grandsons, Colin and Jaxon Glimm; sister, Alma Falk; brothers, Allan and Eddie Gering; sister-in-law, Josie Gering; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Torie (2009); father, Gustav Gering; mother and step-father, Bertha and Rudolph Stelmaker; brother, Alex Gering; infant grand daughter, Elizabeth Glimm; and his beloved dog, Tinker.
A Celebration of Lawrence’s Life: Baker Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Dec 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lawrence’s memory to the Charity of Donors choice.
