In 1956, they moved to Rosetown but they continued to farm until 1976. In their retirement years, they became avid golfers and enjoyed their cottage at Aquadeo Beach. Their cottage became the center of many family gatherings and friendly neighborhood card games. Ruth also enjoyed bowling, knitting afgans for her family and baking her infamous apple pies to give out at every family reunion. Ruth was a woman who was kind and gentle and always put other people’s needs before her own. She went through her life caring for everyone she loved.
The family extends their gratitude to the caring staff members of the Devon Long Term Care Facility in Devon, AB.
