LAFORTUNE, RUTH ALINE (Mackie)
Peacefully at Garry J. Armstrong LTC on Saturday September 30, 2017 Ruth Lafortune (Mackie) at the age of 87. Loving wife of the late Albert Lafortune. Dear mother of Susan of Ottawa, David (Nancy Malloy) of Kincardine and Janet Varner of Airdre, Alberta. Cherished grandmother of Matthew (Colleen) and Robin O’Neil, Barrett, Claire and Avery Lafortune, Emily (Andy Casali), Angela, Josee and Ben Varner and great-grandmother to Noah and Daniel Casali. Sister of Peggy (late Russell Scharfe), Donna Clarke and the late Jean (Allison Fawcett), Madeline (late Ken Atherfold), David (late Margaret), Gerald (Bonnie), Marion (late Ray Herbert) and Nicol (April). Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, (6971 Bank Street between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner) from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Friday October 6. Funeral Saturday October 7 in the Chapel at 11 am. A private Inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Dementia Society, 1750 Russell Rd., Suite 1742 Ottawa, ON K1G 5Z6 would be appreciated. Thank you to our friends for their love and concern.
