Obituary for Rudolph (Rudy) Gordulic
On October 19, 2017, Rudolph (Rudy) Gordulic of Edmonton passed away at the age of 90 years.
Rudolph will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 64 years, Annie; sons, Daniel (Linda) and Glenn; grandchildren, Breanne (Dan), Scott, Tyler and Kelsey; as well as many relatives and friends in Canada, USA and Slovakia. He is predeceased by his parents, Steve and Maria Gordulic; brother, Steve; and sister, Maria Harvanka.
Rudy was born on April 14, 1927 in Polomka, Slovakia which was previously known as Czechoslovakia. He came to Canada in 1948 with his mother and brother to join his father who came to Canada in 1928 to start a new life for his family. After two attempts in 1932 and 1939, the family was finally reunited in 1948.
Rudy worked in the Black Diamond coal mine with his father, brother and two uncles and later for the City of Edmonton. He began his 41 year career with Northwest Industries in 1952, now known as CAE at the International Airport, retiring in 1993. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was always there for his family and he will be greatly missed.

Funeral Mass Thursday, October 26 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare Roman Catholic Church, 6310 – 118 Avenue, Edmonton with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.
