Obituary of Ruby Bezanson
Ruby “Audrey” Bezanson, 87 of Black Rock/Wolfville passed away in her home on December 20, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Murray and Effie (Redden) Corbett.
Audrey worked at many labourous employment positions but her most fullfilling roll was of being a homemaker. A major part of her life, was music. She loved to play the guitar and perform with some of her family members. Audrey would perform with her granddaughter Roxeen at many benefits to assist with raising money for those in need. She certainly had a passion to help others.
She is survived by her children Claude (Dalli) Ogilvie of Digby; Faye (Richard) Houghton of Coldbrook; Shirley (Mike Benjamin) Olmstead of Canada Creek; Keith (Marcia) Ogilvie of Auburn; Roland (Linda Sweeney) Ogilvie of Viewmont; Cheryl (Daniel Neima) Smith of South Alton; brother Cecil Raymond of Ontario; sister Mary Sawlor of North Alton; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Audrey was predeceased by her husband Donald Bezanson; son Laurie; brothers Clifford and George; sister Lorraine Surton.
A visitation will take place on December 27, 2017 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A second visitation will be held on December 28, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 pm in the Berwick Funeral Chapel. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to your Local Food Bank or Canadian Cancer Society, NS Division. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Berwick Funeral Chapel, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick (902-538-9900).
