With heavy hearts, the family of Ruby Anderson, wife of the
late Derald T. Anderson, announce her passing on Thursday, February 2,
2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born January 1, 1933 in
Gaspereau Forks, NB, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Beatrice
(Murray) Hopkins. Ruby worked in the canteen at Sobeys Lansdowne for
25 years, and was an avid card player and bowler.
Ruby is survived by her children: Bill (Muriel) and Judy
Nicolle (Ron); grandchildren: Britain Anderson (Kristen), Ami Anderson
(Jeremy), Ronnie Nicolle (Amanda), Justin Nicolle (Melissa), and
Jessica Nicolle; great-grandchildren: Max, Mason, Colby, Sutton, and
Lilianne; sisters: Mary Lemon (Howard), Faye Scott, and Ruth
Somerville (Bill); and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents
and her husband, Derald, she was predeceased by her brothers: Murray,
Goldwin, and Charles; and sisters: Myrtle, Hazel, Dorothy, Verna, and
Marina.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111
Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on
Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will
be held on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 2 pm from Brenan’s
Funeral Home Chapel. Remembrances to a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Please
