PIPER, Roy Harron
Peacefully, at Cassellholme, North Bay, on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. He was in his 93rd year. Roy was predeceased by his wife Betty Ann (Lawr) (d.1994). He was the beloved father of Ethel Corbett (Bill) of Powassan, Fred Piper (Heather) of Carstairs, AB, Bonnie Montroy (George) of Orillia, Deborah Varley (Bill) of Wasaga Beach, Michael Piper (Maryanne) of Orillia, James Piper (Janet) of Shelburne and Richard Piper (Rhonda) of Brampton. He was predeceased by his children Lorraine, David and Scott Piper. Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by 24 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Roy was the dear brother of Mary Hogg (Doug) of Cheltenham, the late Agnes Davidson, Ethel Heath (late Bill) of Powassan, the late Harvey (late Dianne) and George (Betty) of Lake Nipissing. The Piper family will receive visitors at Powassan United Church on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Rev. Teresa Jones will conduct the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Thornton Union Cemetery on Saturday at 12:00 pm. If desired, memorial donations to Cassellholme Residents Fund (cheques only please) are suggested.
