The death of Roy Emerson McLeod of Saint John, beloved
husband of Dorothy McLeod (McLenaghan) occurred on Tuesday, December
13, 2016 at Kennebec Manor. Born on August 9, 1931 in Murray
Harbour, PEI, he was the son of the late Frederick and Margaret
MacLeod.
Roy worked for the City of Saint John as a heavy equipment
operator for 38 years before his retirement. Roy will be
sadly missed by all who knew him. He loved spending time at
the racetrack, playing crib, gardening and spending time in PEI
fishing with his brothers. Roy loved his grandchildren and
enjoyed walks with his dog Brady.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, Dorothy, Roy is also
survived by their children: Doug (Kim) McLeod, Heather (Steven)
Leaman, Janet (Debra) McLeod and Brenda (Kevin) McCann; 5
grandchildren: Matthew, Jonathan, Zach, Jeff and Megan; sister, Hope
Nicolle, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended
family. Besides his parents, Roy was also predeceased by his
3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral
Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424) with visiting on
Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 4-8 PM. The funeral service
will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday,
December 16, 2016 at 12 Noon. Interment will take place in
Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Kennebec
Manor in Roy’s memory.
