Obituary for Ross Helps
Peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Lambton Meadowview Villa in Petrolia, Ross Hubert Helps, went to be with his Lord at the age of 86. Beloved husband to Maxine (nee Simpson) for 60 years. Loving father to Nancy Metcalfe, Dan (Patti) Helps, Scott (Heather) Helps, Gail (Glenn) Williams and Lynda (Chris) Sit. Proud grandpa to 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Survived by his two siblings Gerald (the late Eleanor) and Donna (Jack) and by his sisters-in-law, Doreen, Shirley and Betty. Predeceased by his siblings Earl, Ken (Marguerite), Howard (Marion), Gordon (Jean), Clayton, Marion (Roy) and Arnold. Ross will be dearly missed by his family but they are happy that he is with his Lord and Saviour. Visitors will be received by the family from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia. Funeral service will take place at New Life Assembly 421 Oozloffsky St., Petrolia on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11am. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to C.E.E.
