Rose May Schmidt – April 20, 1938 – July 22, 2017

With a deep sense of loss and much love, our family announces the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother on July 22, 2017 at the age of 79.
She will be forever remembered by husband Norman Schmidt; children, Darrin (Carol), (Jenny mother of their children) Jordan (his son Riley), Taylor, Jessie; Daryce Betke (Ervin) and their daughter Samantha; Doryl (Roma) and their children Dylan, Shanna; Daylene Ericson (Dean) and their children Janiya, Amani; Dacey (Shannon) and their children Maddie, Ella, Sadie; Desiree Biefus (Kevin); Rose’s Siblings Glen (Lorraine); Ralph (Anne); Nadine Locke (Lyle); Elaine Schultz (Ron), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Pearl Sitter; sisters, Freda Baker and her husband Bruce and Gayle Moreside; her grandson Michael Betke and niece Rondi Johnson.
The Celebration of Life for Rose will be held on July 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Zion Evangelical Missionary Church, New Sarepta, AB
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to our friends and church family for their love and support.
Memorial donations in Rose’s honour can be made to Father’s House International an orphanage in Romania that she strongly supported.
