It is with great sadness and much love that we announce the passing of Ronald Wayne Hansen on Friday December 15, 2017 at his residence. Throughout his life, Ron was known for his loving and kind nature, as well as his sense of humor. Ron was born in Saint John, NB on July 28, 1950. He travelled extensively across Canada as a young man and worked as an industrial insulator for many years. His hobbies included carpentry and restoring furniture. Ron was predeceased by his parents Grace (Hetherington) and Leo Hansen, sisters Donna and Sandra and a brother Bobbie. Ron is survived by his loving wife Genie Eygenia (Catsaroupas) Hansen; son Danny; daughter Sara; grandchildren Anouka, Eli and Chaia; sisters Heather, Gwen, Theresa, Anne Marie; brothers Jack, Sandy, Doug, Vic and many nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday December 19th and Wednesday December 20th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Thursday December 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. In memory of Ron, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or another charity of the donor’s choice.
