March 19 1941 December 6 2017 (age 76)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Ronald R. MacDonald on Tuesday, December 6, 2017 at Lillooet District Hospital at the age of 76 years. He was born on March 19, 1941 in Pangman, Saskatchewan.
Ron is survived by his wife Marjorie of 54 years, his sons Glenn (Christina)of Port Hardy, BC and Darin (Tracy) of Olds Alberta, his 3 grandchildren Mathew, Alisha and Michael, and his sister, Norma Dalpe of Brooks, Alberta. In-Laws: Jacob Frank (Kamloops, BC), Helen and Homer Greff (Regina, Sask), Edith Viguie (Radville, Sask.), Blanche Rose (Vernon, BC), Donna and Dennis Bodholdt, (Regina, Sask.), Leonard and Marnie Rose (Lillooet, BC) and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Donald and Violet MacDonald of Ogema, Sask.), his sisters Kay (Gordon) Jones of Vancouver, BC and Opal ( Art) Mooney of Weyburn, Sask. and his brother, Wallace MacDonald of Moose Jaw, Sask. In -Laws Harold Rose, Ruby Frank, Elmer Rose, Harvey Rose and Elaine Cram.
Originally from Saskatchewan, Ron moved with his young family to Lillooet and was a mechanic for BC Rail. He will be missed dearly by many family, friends and loved ones. He was an active member of the community with memberships in the Lillooet Curling Club, the Lillooet royal Canadian Legion # 66, and the Lillooet Elks of Canada # 467.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Lillooet Elks Hall – 940 Moha Road. Time to be determined.
