MacDONALD, Ronald David—
Suddenly at the Guelph General Hospital on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in his 90th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 30 years Ida (1980). Loving partner of Betty Hazell for 35 years. Dear Dad of Linda Boyd (Thomas, d. 2013) and Colin MacDonald. Cherished Grandpa of Janice (Paul), Heather (David), Colin and Matthew and Great Grandpa to Sarah, Isabelle and Nicholas. He is survived by his brother Bruce of Cutback, Montana. He will be sadly missed by his many family members and friends. Ronald was a successful real estate entrepreneur in Guelph for over 25 years. A special thank you to the doctors and staff at the Guelph General Hospital as well as the staff at Riverside Glen Long Term Care Facility for their compassion, care and kindness.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph. As per Ronald’s request, there will be no public visitation or service. A private family service will take place at a later time. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
