Obituary for Ronald Figg
FIGG, Ronald James- It is with broken hearts the family announce the passing of their beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Ronald J. Figg on Saturday October 14th 2017 in his 93rd year. He will be reunited with his beloved wife Shirley (nee Barker) of 66 years who predeceased him in 2013. Loved father of Robert (Margaret), James (Frances), Diana Figg (Bogdan Rog) and Richard (Jo-Ann). Cherished grandfather of Sheri (Steve) DeRick, Tammy (Paul) Hainer, Jeffrey (Lisa) Figg, Paul (Tanya) Figg, Amy Figg (Jeremy), and Sydney Figg and much loved great grandfather of seven. Dear brother-in-law of Bernice Figg and Dorothy Figg. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Nell and James Figg, sister Gladys Felver, brother Howard Figg and by his daughter-in-law Cindy Figg. He was the last surviving member of his own family. Ron was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 Woodstock. Friends will be received by the family at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004, on Wednesday October 18th 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday October 19th 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment following cremation at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Children’s Wish Foundation or Royal Canadian Legion Branch#55 Woodstock would be appreciated.
