Ronald James Ayotte Longview December 12 1953 – November 15 2017

December 12 1953 – November 15 2017
Ron passed away unexpectedly while taking a yoga teacher training course in Mexico and living his life to the fullest.
He leaves behind a broken-hearted family, including his wife Laura Brule; his children Brendan (Kristen), Allie (Fredy), Connor, and Devin (Becki), their brother Zachary Jamieson (Bethany); grandchildren Alanna, Kaitlyn, Madison, Ian, Owen, Brennan, and Paisley, whom he loved to spoil rotten; lifelong friends Don and Bill; his brothers Ross and Grant; sister Diane; and… many other friends and family who will be deeply affected by his passing.
He is predeceased by his mother Helen (nee Scott); his father Ronald; and his brother William.
Ron was a tireless advocate for social justice, sustainability and equality for all people, and his passion was contagious. He spent his time in his garden, beekeeping, volunteering with numerous organizations and spending time with his friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at the Unitarian Church of Calgary (1703 First Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta, Canada, T2M 4P4) at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 25th.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Unitarian Church of Calgary’s Refugee Aid Fund (refugee@unitarians.org).
