Obituary for Ronald Craig
Passed away at Hardy Terrace on Monday, December 25, 2017 in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his parents C. Earl and Dorothy M. Craig (nee Snider) and stepmother Marie Pelletier. Survived by his sister Jane Dorothy Craig (Charlie). Also predeceased by his uncles Stanley and Miltie. Long time friend to Wayne and Doreen Peever of Pembroke, the Pelletier family of Florida and the Stratford High School Alumni. Ron lived in Stratford, Pembroke and Brantford where he spent his entire career at the Brantford Expositor. He was an avid outdoorsman and a founding member of the Executive Committee for the Brantford Sports Hall of Recognition. Ron spent his life as a Retriever Field Trial Trainer and Handler and a sought after Judge. He owned numerous black labs, his favourite and most decorated dog, “Smokey”. Ron would like to thank his many friends and acquaintances who made it possible for him to remain in his home as long as he could. At Ron’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date in Pembroke, Ontario. Arrangements entrusted to the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME , 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford.
