Passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Sunday, August 27, 2017 of Owen Sound in his 61st year. Loving partner of Maria Kennedy. Dear father of Nicholas Jewell of Salt Springs, BC, Erin Jewell of Barrie and step-father of Crystal Kennedy of Orangeville, Robert Kennedy (Brittany Muir) of Ajax, Christopher Kennedy(Brittany Ouderkirk) of Owen Sound, Peter Kennedy of Owen Sound, and Michael Kennedy of Owen Sound . Adoring grandfather to Leo and Riley. Loved and remembered by brother George Jewell of Toronto, sister Audrey Jewell (Denis Brouillard) of Montreal and the son of the late Donald Gordon Jewell. Blair will be missed by Doreen Jewell, many nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.
Blair had many hobbies he enjoyed such as fishing, gardening and watching sports (a true fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs). Blair was an excellent champion chess player. He was always competitive when playing cards and board games. He always loved to spend quality time with his family. His grandchildren were the highlights of his life. He had a strong belief in all humanitarian causes.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions to Habitat for Humanity (Owen Sound) would be gratefully appreciated.
