Passed away at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 12, 2017 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Ann (nee Podolan). Loving father of Bill Skrypka and his partner Joanne Bowslaugh, Joseph Skrypka and his wife Mary, and Olia Skrypka. Cherished Digo of Catherine Skrypka and Christina Barker and her husband Evan. Digo-Digo of Alexander. Much loved brother of Gloria Fedas, Ann Sembrat, and Russell Skrypka and his wife Fran. Predeceased by his siblings Walter Skrypka and Tekla Mulak. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Special thanks to the staff at Deer Park Villa for their exceptional care and compassion. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda for Roman will be held on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment Queen’s Lawn Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Funeral Home. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
