Obituary of Roger Rose
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, Roger Rose of Salmon Cove, age 57 years. Predeceased by father: Jehu; two sisters: Paulette Dean and Printzlyne King. Leaving to mourn, wife: Darlene; son: Mitchell (Amy), Victoria; step-children: Tanya (Rob) Russell, Main Brook, Bradley (Lori-ann) Jones, and Crystal (Wade) Mercer, both of Spaniard’s Bay; nine step-grandchildren; mother: Aseaneth Rose, Carbonear; three brothers: Gerald (Grace) and Oscar (Lorraine), both of Salmon Cove, and Wayne (Eunice), Victoria; four sisters: Thelma (Wally, deceased) Maidment, Salmon Cove, Sophie (Woodrow) Butt, Carbonear, Rosalind (Wilfred) Burden, Small Point, and Lorna (Carmond) Cull, Broad Cove; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Stone family; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, December 23 at 11:00 a.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Roger Rose Memorial Fund c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
