Roger Oliver Meunier
Roger O. Meunier, 81, of Notre Dame, passed away peacefully
at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, August 29, 2017.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Arthur and Emma
(Allain) Meunier. Roger worked for the Campbells Soup Co. in Ontario,
operated a convenience store in Moncton for many years and retired
from Codiac Transit. He enjoyed jogging, fishing, cutting firewood,
tinkering around his home in Notre Dame, his beloved dog, Charlie and
was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Roger will be sadly missed by his long time best friend,
Claudette Bastarache; children, Arthur of Calgary, AB, Roger Jr.
“Butch” of Toronto, ON, Brenda of Moncton and David of
Lethbridge, AB; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren;
former wife, Myrtle (Burnette); sisters, Rita and Bernice and brother,
Edmond; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by a grandson, Ben; son-in-law, Percy Gray; sister, Emelda
and brothers, Oliver, Arthur and Robert.
In honouring Roger’s wishes, there will be no
visitation hours or funeral service.
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995) in care of arrangements.
In memory of Roger, donations to the Friends of The Moncton
