1939-2017
Robin Terrance Leroy Coughlan, age 77, of Miramichi, NB, died
March 17, 2017 at Nashwaak Villa. Born May 30, 1939, in Blackville,
NB. He was the son of the late Thomas and Sarah (Sturgeon)
Coughlan.
Robin is survived by his sister, Margaret Hazel
O’Neill; brother-in-law, Neil (Joyce) Hughes;
sister-in-law’s, Ina and Joanne (Dysart) Williston, as well
as several nieces nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Robin is predeceased by his
loving wife, Ardyth Marie (Hughes) Coughlan; and siblings, Leland,
Elgee, Myrna, Aubrey, Pauline and Mamie. Robin leaves behind many
nieces and nephews in New Brunswick, Maine, Georgia, Mississippi,
California and Ontario.
After graduating from Saint John Vocational School, Robin
worked in the office of Smith Transport in Fredericton. His
love of big trucks and heavy machinery started there. Robin
went on to operate his own trucks in the construction and logging
industries for many years. He could tell stories of his
trucking adventures for hours!
The family would like to express thanks for all the support
over the past few months prior to Robin’s passing including
his close friend Pat Ilsley and the Hughes family.
A funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s
Anglican Church on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm with The Rev.
Canon Kevin M. Stockall officiating. Reception to follow in Saint
Mary’s Church hall. Interment will take place at Sunny Bank
cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, donations in
Robin’s memory may be made to Fredericton Homeless Shelter
or Grace House for Women.
