Obituary of Robert Shire
ROBERT “BERT” WILLIAM SHIRE
Bert, late of Regina, SK, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the age of 92 years. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth (Fisk); parents, Robert “Bob” and Edith (McVicar); sisters, Beatrice Longhurst and Genevieve Porter; and brother Roy. Bert is survived by his dear friend Freida Paulowicz; son, Timothy (Judy) of Tisdale and Allan (Darlene) of Saskatoon; daughter Linda (George) Broda of Crooked Lake; six grandchildren, Timothy, Andrew, Matthew (Dawn), Jennifer, Candace (Shane) Hrycan, and Carrie; four great-grandchildren, Cadence, Aurora, Ella, and Jackson. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Graveside service will take place at the Kelso Cemetery on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception at the Langbank Recreation Centre at 3:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care team and the William Booth staff for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Regina Senior Citizen’s Centre, 2134 Winnipeg Street, Regina, SK S4P 3X6 or William Booth Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6.
