It is with great sadness that the family of
Robert Eugene Finnie of Lincoln, NB, announce his passing on Tuesday,
November 21, 2017 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. He was 90 years
old. Born in Fredericton he was a son of the late Lynton and
Olive (McArthur) Finnie.
Robert worked as a lab technician at the
Research Station in Lincoln, he enjoyed spending time camping in Taxis
River and at his camp on Maquapit Lake. An avid story teller, a very
loving and affectionate man and in his younger years loved
Volkswagens, owning a few different ones.
He loved music and played the
Dobro guitar. He was a member of the Fredericton Blue Grass
Association and enjoyed playing his guitar with family and
friends.
Bob is survived by the love of his
life Bonita (Beveridge) Finnie, his children; Susan Nelson (Gary),
Deborah Bronnum, (Mike), Robert (Heather), Kelly Neil (Greg) and
Stacey Grimm (Gerold).
Grandchildren; Jeff, Michael, Rob, Becky, Taylor, Ryan,
Michael, Christopher and Alexander, several great grandchildren,
brothers, Stanley (Shirley) and Donald, a sister Carol Wall, as well
as several cousin’s nieces and
nephews. Predeceased by brothers
and sisters; Irvine, Mary, Charlie, Gerald Jack and
Margaret
A memorial service
will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road,
Fredericton on Friday November 24th ,2017 at 2
PM with Rev. John Sharpe officiating.
For those who wish, a memorial contribution may
be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
