Robert Dawson
September 13, 1940 – December 22, 2017
Robert “Bob” Henry Dawson, 77, of Cobourg, Ontario. Beloved husband to Lise, loving father to Greg and Tracy, and doting grandfather to Hunter and Rex, passed away peacefully on the evening of December 22, 2017. There were many beautiful moments in those last days with his family and friends, that they’ll cherish forever. The family wishes to thank the members of the ICU team at Northumberland Hills Hospital who were immeasurably kind and did so much for him and his family. Bob, or Big Bad Bob, or B3 (as he affectionately called himself) was a generous, loving, great husband, and father. He loved spending time with his children and grandkids. With Greg and his family in Kingston, and Tracy in Los Angeles, it was always a special treat for Bob to see his children and grandchildren. We remember Bob as someone that loved boating with his family, travelling with Lise, Old classic cars – especially old Mustangs – and following his favourite sports teams. He was also an excellent and enthusiastic cook, something his wife Lise greatly enjoyed and appreciated during their long, loving marriage. While struggling with illness for some time, he always managed to have a good time, keep a sense of humour, and welcomed friends and family with a warm smile, big hug or firm handshake. There is so much more to say about Bob Dawson. We will have more time to chat about him and all we loved about him at the celebration of his life that will take place in Cobourg in the Spring of 2018. We love and miss him so much.
