Obituary for Robert “David” Alexander
Robert “David” Alexander, 75, of Kincardine, Ontario passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24th at the Kincardine Hospital. Born in Clinton, Ontario to Helen and Norman Alexander, David lived his early life in Londesborough and the rest of his life in Kincardine.
Respected teacher at K.D.S.S (Kincardine District Secondary School) for 35 years, avid gardener, creative craftsman, talented wood carver, David loved his family, his flowerbeds, time by the lake and at the cottage he built. He enjoyed reading, hiking, sailing, canoeing, classical music and woodcarving.
Beloved husband to Mary (née Lavis), cherished dad to Jennifer, adored Baba to Alexander, dear brother to Jim and Ruth Alexander, Elaine and Don Cousineau, brother-in-law to Linda and Jan Pavlinec, Laurel and Rod Lavigne, treasured uncle to David, Susan, Donald, Jimmy, Tammy, Jonathan, Christopher, Katrina, Steven, Matthew and Kelly, who will be sorely missed.
A celebration of life with the immediate family will take place at a later date.
Donations may be made in his name to the Kincardine Hospital Foundation, the Kincardine Trails Association or the Kincardine Library.
Goodbye may seem forever. Farewell is like the end, but in our heart is the memory and there you’ll always be.
