Robert “Bob” of Goderich, formerly of Hanover, passed away at LHSC Victoria Hospital, London on Monday, January 09, 2017.
He was 78.
Born in Woodstock on July 26, 1938, son of the late George and Jessie (Haley) Whitehead. Bob was a Secondary School Teacher at JDSS from 1962 to 1994 until retiring.
Survived by wife Mary Nesbit of Goderich, son Mike (Julie) Whitehead of Hanover, daughter-in-law Tanya Whitehead of Dominican Republic, grandchildren Spencer and Sarah Whitehead. Also survived by brother Charlie (Jan) Whitehead of Daytona Beach, Florida. Predeceased by 1st wife Barbara (Hoffarth) Whitehead, sons Anthony and Thomas and sister Georgina Whitehead.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 1-4 pm.
Memorial donations to the Hanover Minor Hockey Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
