Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on August 9, 2017 in the presence of his loving family. Bob was predeceased by his parents A J (Jim) and Blanche Stacey, sisters Ruth Raymos & Eleanor Durkee, brothers Bruce and George and parents-in-law Catherine (Kit Berrigan) Bailey and Bert Bailey. Leaving to mourn his best friend and wife of 57 years, Rose (Berrigan), dearly loved sons Craig (Brenda), Blair (Michelle) Ottawa, Bert (Natalie) Mississauga and grandchildren Mark, Amanda and Christopher, Sheilagh and Anthony, Lauren and Allison. Treasured siblings Ralph (Georgetown, ON), Betty Cameron (Vancouver), Ethel Pitt, Cecil (Courtenay, BC), Peter (Jean), Harold (Winnipeg) and Janet Sparkes (Smith Falls, ON). Loving in-laws Elizabeth Boulos-Ryan (Graham Smith), Ethnea Guiney (Charles), Tina Chaytor (Doug) and many nieces, nephews and a wide circle of relatives and friends (many from his employment at CN Railway and Renews). We wish to express our deep gratitude and special thanks to the Patel Medical Centre and staff (Lori & Liz) and the ATP Health Sciences Centre nurses, doctors and staff (especially Dr Mary Frances Scully) for their care and kindness provided to Bob over the past several years. Also thanks to St. Clare’s Emergency Dept and staff on the 7th floor West for their compassion and support in his final hours. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Cremation has taken place. Visitation on Saturday from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm and again on Sunday from 10 am – 2 pm. Funeral Service will take place at 2 pm on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from Caul’s Chapel. Inurnment at Holy Apostles Cemetery, Renews on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donations to St. John’s blood bank would be greatly appreciated or donation to a charity of your choice.
