Robert “Bob” Sloman, age 83, of Swift Current SK, passed away on January 8, 2017 at Cypress Regional Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife, Kate; siblings, George Sloman, Elise Postey, Wes Sloman, Shirley Sloman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Christina (nee Davidson) Sloman; and siblings, Willie Sloman, Millie Ballard and Donald Sloman. He attended school at Pinto River and Aneroid. Bob married Kate Hattum on June 25, 1976, in Swift Current SK. Bob lived for auction sales and collecting antiques. He played ball and hockey while growing up. Reading was an enjoyable pastime, and Bob also loved spending time playing cards with friends and family. Bob enjoyed going out for his morning coffee with his coffee group, and then picking up groceries on the way home. He enjoyed bus tours to the USA and scenic drives around the province. Bob was a very kind and gentle man and was always willing to lend a helping hand, it be to a stranger or a friend, well loved by everyone who knew him. He will be sadly missed. At Bob’s request, there will not be a funeral service.
