We are sad to announce the loss of a man dear to many, Robert (Bob) Dancer, who passed in his sleep on the morning of November 1, 2017. He leaves behind his wife Wendy, sons Dwayne and Robbie (Kandy) and daughter Alicia as well as granddaughters Autumn and Rachael and grandsons Skyler and Styles.
Born November 25, 1939 in Unity, Saskatchewan to Arnold and Evelyn Dancer he was the 2 of 8 children: brother Ron (Muriel), sisters Marilyn, Audrey, Debbie (Morgan), Noreen (Brad), and Cindy (Kevin). He is predeceased by his sister Shirley.
Always known as the first one to lend a helping hand, he could be found assisting anyone on almost any project. All who met him saw he was man of great faith and integrity. In his younger years he enjoyed the Rocky Mountains, skiing in Jasper and Banff and hiking in Kananaskis. Later after he retired Bob and Wendy moved to Vancouver Island, settling in to a relaxed routine in Ladysmith where he enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds.
A service celebrating his life will be held on November 11 at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 1724 VOWELS, Nanaimo, BC V9G 1J8
