Rita deBellotte Prescott
November 12, 1923 – February 16, 2017
Rita was born in Trinidad, November 12, 1923 and passed away February 16, 2017 in Winnipeg at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her brothers Rupert and Rawlings, sisters Ruth and Ruby, son George, and her husband Robert. She is survived by her children Gregory and Cisley and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to take this opportunity to graciously thank the doctors, nurses, caregivers at the various hospitals in Winnipeg who took care of her during her illness. Finally, our thanks to the Golden Door Nursing Home for walking us through this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral Mass will take place at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Dr., Winnipeg, MB on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 11:00 am with a celebration following Mass in the church hall.
