Rita Lucile Desaulniers
March 05, 1932 – April 17, 2017

Rita Desaulniers, Beloved wife of the late George Desaulniers and loving mother of Louise, Doris, Gerald and Michelle, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, passed away at the Southeast Integrated Care Centre, Moosomin, on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the age of 85 years.
Prayers will be held on Friday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Moosomin. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Moosomin.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Moosomin Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion or to the Moosomin & District Healthcare Foundation, in memory of Rita.
Rita was born on March 5, 1932 in Montcalm Municipality, Manitoba, the youngest of ten children born to Ismeria and Frank Landry.
On July 4th, 1950, Rita married George Desaulniers in St. Elizabeth, Manitoba. In 1958, they moved to Moosomin, where George was employed by Trans Canada Pipelines, and where they raised their four children.
Rita was predeceased by her husband George, her parents Esmeria and Frank Landry, her brothers: Louis, Albert (child 1917-23) Maurice, Fred, Edward, Albert (child 1927-29) and her sister Flore Marion.
She is survived by her children: Louise (Murray), Doris (Spencer), Michelle (Randy) and Gerald (Margaret); 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a great great grandboy. She is also survived by her brothers Paul Landry and Dennis Landry and numerous nieces nephews and friends.
