May 13- 1966 – October 30- 2017 (age 51)
The early morning of October 30, 2017 at the Red Deer Hospice, Ricky was called home by his Heavenly Father after a valiant battle with liver and lung cancer.
As a great husband, daddy, brother, uncle, friend and hard worker, Ricky will be greatly missed by all who had the joy of knowing him.
Prior to his passing, Ricky shared a happy and loving life with his wife of 20 years, Giselle. Ricky will also be missed by his four daughters Danica, Deanna, Jasmine and Sarah all who are living at home and many other family and friends. We all take comfort in knowing that Ricky is scoping out the best treed lot by a lake so that he can begin building a log cabin.
He was born in Chatham, New Brunswick on May 13, 1966, the first of 7 children to his parents Alfred (deceased) and Adeline Mazerolle of Acadie-Siding, New Brunswick.
Along with his wife and daughters, Ricky will be missed by his brothers and sisters; Gabriel (Natalie) of Acadie-Siding, NB; Christianne (Marc) of Shippagen, NB; Alfred Jr of Acadie-Siding, NB; Marguerite (Raymond) of Acadie-Siding, NB; Karina (Sofiane) of Rogersville, NB and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ricky was predeceased by his father, Alfred, a younger brother Jeannot and many aunts and uncles.
As we continue to grieve for our loss, the family invites you to attend one of two Celebrations of Life for Ricky that will be held: one at the Living Stones Church located at 2020 40 Ave in Red Deer, Alberta and one at the Church of Saint-Francois-De-Sales 11111 Principle Street in Rogersville, New Brunswick. Dates and times are still being determined and will be posted here as soon as they are confirmed.
Special thanks to the Red Deer Cancer Center, Unit 32 of the Red Deer Hospital, the nurses of the Lacombe Palliative Care Society and the Red Deer Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
