Passed peacefully away after a brief illness on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Health Science Centre, age 70 years. Predeceased by his parents Richard and Catherine; father – in – law Frank; special cousin Tom. Left to celebrate his life and carry on his family traditions his wife and best friend of 41 years Judy; children Rick (Bethanne), Michael (Amber), Jennifer (Chris), Kristin (Jason); and the best poppy to Chase, Brooke, Emma, Taylor; brothers and sisters Jack (Ann), Ann (Fred – deceased), Isabel (David), Peter (Carol), Paul (Verna), Pat (Brenda), Jim (Yvonne); mother – in – law Mary Tobin; brothers and sister – in – law Patsy, Mary (Roland), Elizabeth (Michael), Allan (Theresa), Frances (Doug), Brian (Barb) and Patsy Tobin – deceased. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially John and Marie Barnes, Sandy Lush and Ben Hawco. Richard was a kind, generous man who was extremely proud of his family. A successful business owner of Eastern Audio and his vacation rentals in Trinity. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and travelling with those he loved the most. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Friday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon – 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Road. Flowers accepted or donations may be made to the Kids Eat Smart Foundation.
