Richard Brian Perry (High River) – December 7, 1923 – September 11, 2017

Perry, Richard Brian
December 7, 1923 – Sepetmber 11, 2017
Brian passed away on Mon., Sept. 11, 2017 at the age of 93 years. Brian was born, grew up, and in his early life farmed near Herronton, Alberta. In farming in those early years he learned to solve all problems single handedly and this approach to life became imbedded in him. He moved to High River into a home he built himself. Carpentry stayed with him and he later moved into a second self-built home. A man of quiet demure,… he cultivated special friendships and guided youth by instruction and example. Brian is preceded by his former wife of 20 years, Joan Perry (nee Gibbons), brother Bill Chandler, sister Mary Despas, and nephew Dennis Despas. He is survived by his sister Clarice Millard of Vancouver, numerous nieces and nephews, dear friends, and children and youth he “adopted”.
At Brian’s request there will be an informal gathering at Snodgrass Funeral Home, 301 MacLeod Tr S, High River on Mon., Sept. 18 at 2:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to share refreshments and memories of Brian.
In memory of Brian’s charitable spirit donations may be made to the High River Hospital Foundation, 560 – 9 Ave. SW, High River, AB T1V 1B3.
