O’Brien, Reverend Verner
At the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in his 86th year. Vern peacefully entered eternity where he was welcome by his Lord and Saviour. For the past 65 years, Vern has been the beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Deschamps) of Paris, Ontario. Loving father of Paul (Darlene) O’Brien of New Hamburg, Mary Lynn (Mark) Scriver of Peterborough, Ontario. Vern is also survived by his two grand-daughters Rachel Scriver and Amber Wilson and one great-grandson Train Wilson. Vern is predeceased by his son, Philip John (1969); grandson, Michael Scriver (1999), by his parents, Alec and Viola O’Brien, his sister, Iona and his brother, Garry, all of Pembroke, Ontario. Vern graduated from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in Peterborough in 1956. His ministry has spanned over 50 years taking him to Pastor in four provinces and two U.S. states. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Service at New City Church, 190 Lynden Road, Brantford, Ontario on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. A reception for family and friends to follow. If wished, memorial donations to Crossroads Christian Communications Inc. gratefully appreciated.
