It is with sorrow we announce the passing of John Rempel at 78 years of age. John was born at Walheim, Saskatchewan and in recent years resided in High River, Alberta.
John spent 25 years working as an Automotive Technician in Saskatoon, Prince George, Edmonton and Calgary. In subsequent years he was employed as an auto insurance appraiser. He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodwork and crafts.
John will be remembered by his wife of 46 years, Diane, and his son Douglas Brent (Sherry). He is survived by his sister Mary (Jake), brothers Abe (Paula), Jim (Shirley), Harry (Dorothy), Willie (Gwen), and Ray (Trish). John was predeceased by his parents George and Marie Rempel, sister Ann Froese, infant sister Kathy Rempel, and brother Peter Remple.
Diane would like to thank the nurses and staff at Dulcina Hospice in Calgary for their care during John’s final days.
A memorial service will be held at Harvest Hills Alliance Church at 10099 Harvest Hills Blvd. NW, Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke or Diabetes foundations.
