Obituary of Regina Newman
NEWMAN, REGINA MARIA: May 1, 1930 – November 21, 2017
Peacefully at Hamilton General Hospital in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband John. Survived by her children Richard, Valerie, Vanessa, Lenora, and daughter-in-law Lynda (John); grandchildren Renee (Steve) and Richard (Samantha); and great-grandchildren Samara, Jordyn, Alex, Victoria and Lily. Special thanks to Dr. Panju and the nursing staff of Hamilton General Hospital Medical Overflow for their kind and compassionate care during mom’s last illness. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, November 23 from 2-5 p.m. with Prayers at 4 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 166 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Friday, November 24 at 11 a.m. with interment at the Church’s adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Good Shepherd Centre or West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary can be made through the funeral home.
