It is with profound sadness that the family of Raymond Garth Meredith of St. Albert, Alberta announce his passing on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the age of 85 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Carolyn H Meredith; sons: Steven (Maria), Kevin (Ulla), Ray (Carol), Ken Dunbar; daughter, Kim Dunbar; brother, Bob (Marion) as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Garth was a retired RCAF pilot (known as” Stretch” in the day), and spent the better part of the last 35 years driving around St. Albert & Edmonton in his Meredith Lock & Key van, rescuing stranded motorists and homeowners. While a gruff exterior was evident, his heart was like melted butter to his family and friends and he was never one to shy away from telling a really corny joke.
