Passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 10th, 2017 at Health Sciences North. He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years Angèle (née Bradley). Loving father of Lorraine Gagné (Robert), Monique Leblanc (Charles), Marc (Julie) and Paulette Robert (David). Predeceased by his parents Benoit and Charlotte Lagacé. Survived by his brother Claude Lagacé and sister Claire Brooks and predeceased by Roger, Gerald and Pauline Charbonneau. Cherished pepére of MicheLynn Montpellier (Jason), Eric Gagné (Patricia), Stephane (predeceased), Josée-Lynn Larouche (Mathieu), Casia Leblanc (Courtland), Patrick Lagacé (Stéphanie), Joel Lagacé, Francois Robert (Carissa) and Christian Robert. Special grand-papa to Joshia, Francis, Alexandre, Janna, Karson, Jaxon and Yanik. He will be missed by many relatives and friends. Ray was a retired Inco worker who enjoyed the outdoors especially his years spent on Joe Lake. He was devoted to his community and parish. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle soul with a heart of gold who was happiest surrounded by his family. A special thank you to nurse James from CCAC for his continuous at home care, to the staff at Westmount Retirement Residence and to the nurses on the 7B floor at HSN. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Monday, October 16th, 2017 from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Church, Val Thérèse. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice can be made by cheque or online at www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
