Obituary for Raymond Hamrlik
Raymond Garth Hamrlik
April 25, 1941 – August 25, 2017
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather at the age of 76 years. Ray passed away peacefully at Agape hospice with his wife Darleen and good friend Angie by his side. He was born in Winnipeg Manitoba and grew up in Hodgson Manitoba. Ray was an adventurous soul who tried many endeavors in his life which enabled him to tell many great stories. He was quick witted and till the day he passed was still an avid car lover. He also loved his little Pepper, who would come to visit him at the hospice. He fought a long hard battle with courage and strength; he had a strong will to survive but was just too tired to carry on.
Ray is survived by his wife Darleen and children Darin (Linda), Tammie (Dave King) and Shawn (Terri) Lucier, as well as his twin sons Kevin and Michael Hamrlik. He leaves behind his grandchildren Krystal Beck (Shaun Courtemanche), Shyla Kish (Damien Hill), Shantel Pfeifle, Emily Lucier, Noah and Isaac Bean, Nick and Blayne King. Last but not least his great granddaughter Alexa Leask-Beck. He was predeceased by his parents George and Marjorie Hamrlik.
We have decided to have a celebration of life for Ray on Saturday Sept.2, Due to limited space we will be making it a Private function. We will be contacting people via facebook and telephone. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. To view and share photos, condolences and stories of Ray please visit www.choicememorial.com. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Choice Memorial Cremation & Funeral Services (403) 277-7343.
