Raymond (Buddy) Roberts passed peacefully on Saturday October 14th at home surrounded by his loving family. Buddy was born in 1927 in Glace Bay and was the only son of Moses and Ruby Roberts.
He met Minnie, the love of his life, in North Sydney and they spent the next seventy years creating a loving family environment. Buddy and Minnie have two children – Eric ( Sue)& Valerie, four grandchildren- Lori( Jamie), Lisa, Taryn( Kevin), Jonas( Rebecca), and seven great grandchildren (with twins due in 2018).
Buddy was predeceased by his mom and dad and twin sisters Gwen and Connie.
Buddy was a 55 year member of the Masonic Lodge, holding many offices including Master Mason.
Special thanks to the Palliative Care Program at the Cape Breton Regional and the VON for making his final days comfortable and respectful. Because of the caring individuals in these programs, Buddy went the way he always wanted –at home in his own bed.
