Obituary of Randle Donnelly
“The drums are silent”
Surrounded by his family at Hospice Renfrew on Friday, October 20, 2017 in his 67th year. Randle, beloved husband of Jane Donohue for 46 years. Cherished father of Sarah (Andrew Lombard), Nicholas (Julia Stevens) and Ben (Aoife Fleming). Dear brother of Pat Asquini and Pauline Donnelly (Vance Bedore), and brother-in-law of Kathleen (Robert Thomson), Ann, Dan (Phyllis) and Maureen (Andy Freemark). Predeceased by siblings Barb Lucy and Jon Donnelly, and brothers-in-law Bob Lucy and Mike Asquini. Also mourned by many nieces and nephews. Mr. D was a much loved teacher for many years in Renfrew County. An exceptional drummer, he rocked most recently with the Mixed Nuts. Other loves were his family, music, movies, tennis and his cat Jinx. Despite his many health issues over the course of his life, Randle always retained his sense of humour, and always put a smile on people’s faces. He will be sorely missed. Visitations at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St S. Renfrew, Friday October 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Celebration of Life Saturday October 28th, St. Francis Xavier Church Hall, 331 Plaunt St. S. Renfrew, 1-4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice Renfrew, Ottawa Heart Institute, or Canadian Diabetes Association.
