Obituary for Ralph Homer McGrath
Ralph Homer McGrath
1956 – 2017
It is with very deep sorrow that the family of Ralph McGrath announces his passing on Saturday, Mach 25, 2017 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook.
Ralph was born on October 24, 1956 in Penticton, BC. He moved to Creston, BC where he was raised and also met the love of his life Louise. Ralph and Louise moved to Marysville. They were married in Marysville in July of 1977. They welcomed their son Ralph Jr. after a time and their daughter Stella a couple of years later. Ralph and Louise raised their children in Cranbrook while Ralph worked for Columbia Salvage for a time and then at an orchard which he retired from to spend more time with his family. Ralph loved his family and friends and was always there to help them. Even total strangers benefitted from his aide, as Ralph was always willing to help someone in need.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Louise, his son Ralph Jr., his daughter Stella, his 5 grandchildren Tabitha, Samantha, Trinity, Cassidy and Tyson, great grandchildren Serenity, Olivia and Sophia, his brother Randy McGrath, two sisters Ellen Leask and Patricia Stirling, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Edith (Overholser) and Ralph McGrath.
A gathering to celebrate Ralph’s life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Ralph may do so to Street Angels.
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
