Debbie Purcell – of Newton, passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital with her husband by her side on Tuesday February 21, 2017 at the age of 57. Debbie joins her mother Barbara Nafziger who predeceased her eight days ago on February 13th. She was a thrift store enthusiast and enjoyed gardening and walking her dog. Debbie loved the times she spent baking, cooking and talking on the telephone with her family.
Beloved wife of Doug Purcell whom she married in 1977. Loving mother and grandmother of Cory and Melissa and their children Cheyenne, Trevor, Caroline and Caitlyn; Natashia and Mike Cassel and their children Makayla, Dakota and Brielle; Devin and Tessa and their children Jack, Ruby and Grace. Dear sister of Connie Cassel (Steve), Frances Royal (Joe), Paul Nafziger (Jen), Calvin Nafziger (Heidi). Cherished daughter of John Nafziger. Fondly remembered by the extended Purcell family and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by her father-in-law Morris Purcell.
Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Friday February 24, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family graveside service will take place at Riverdale Mennonite Cemetery, Millbank at a later date with Darren Reimer officiating.
