Mrs. Polly Peel
Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Tuesday October 10th, 2017, Mrs. Polly Marilyn Peel of Chatham in her 90th year passed away. Cherished daughter of the late Lewis and Constance Cooke. Beloved wife of 69 years of Bill. Loving mother of Ginny Peel of Chatham, Barbara Rolls (Gary), Janet McKellar (Brian) of Comber, Susan Peel-Brown (the late Lonnie) of Chatham, and Trish Myers (Wayne) of Chatham. Polly was the proud grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Dear sister of Lois Munsterman (the late Jake), and Diane Evers (Bill). Survived by her brother-in-law Peter Peel (Bonnie) and sisters-in-law Donna and Mary Peel and predeceased by her in-laws Robert Peel, Louise Furey (Doug), Joyce Lundy (Willy), and John Peel. Polly was a member for many years at the Active Lifestyle Centre, participating in Line dancing, Tai Chi and card making. She was an avid golfer for many years at the Indian Creek Golf course. Polly was an amazing seamstress, making or altering clothes for family and friends. Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. W. Chatham, 519-352-2710, on Thursday October 12th visiting from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. John Anderson officiating.
