“Polly” Kathleen M. Garner
1928-2017
Early on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 “Polly”
Kathleen Muriel (Wilson) Garner was called home.
Born in Springhill NS, on July 11, 1928, she was brought to
Moncton, NB by her loving adoptive parents, Frederick and Ethel
(Duffield) Wilson.
Polly spent her working years at Marven’s Biscuits, Eaton’s,
Eventide Home and retired from Lakeview Manor Nursing Home. Several
years were spent teaching music at Bridgedale and Gunningsville
schools.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Polly was
the widow of Geoffrey Garner.
She is survived by her son Geoffrey (Debbie); daughter Brenda
(Wayne Buck), and very special daughter Mary Carleton Garner;
grandchildren Jennifer (Bruce), Anthony Buck, Lori Murray, Vic and
Vincent Garner; great grandchildren Catherine Murray, Alexandria and
Christine Cooke; one great great grand son and very soon to be born a
great great grand daughter. As well as precious cousin nancy Botleho
and her family in Bermuda.
Polly wished the following to be included- Burn what is left
of me and scatter the ashes to the wind to help the flowers grow. If
you must bury something, let it be my faults, my weaknesses, and all
my prejudice against my fellow man. Give my soul to God. If by chance
you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who
needs you. If you do all that I have asked, I will live
forever.
A celebration of Polly’s Promotion to Glory will take place
at The Salvation Army Community Church, St. George Blvd, on Friday,
July 14, 2017 at 2:30pm.
Private interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial
Gardens.
Please no flowers at her request. If you wish donations made
to the Salvation Army or a worthy cause of your choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Brothers &
