Peacefully with her family by her side, at the NHS – General Site on Friday, December 30, 2016 in her 91st year. Loving mother of Dianne Mannen (Russell), Don Stewart (Nancy), and Penny Therrien (Rick). She will be missed by her grandchildren Jordin (Soo), Cal (Amanda), David (Leah), Sarah, Emily, and her great-grandchildren Bowan, Sophia, Makayla, Jake, Lily, and Vivian. She is predeceased by her husbands Lorne Stewart and William Martin and her daughter Jayne Goodman.
Summer vacations with family at the cottage, playing golf, trying new things (zip lining in her 80’s), or travelling to anywhere from Alaska to Australia, she was ready to go when you were. Phyllis is a past president of the St. Catharines Curling Club where she established many lifelong friendships. She enjoyed the past several years at Heatherwood Retirement Residence where she made dear friends and appreciated the caring staff.
Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
